About Our Church
Pastor Nathan and Carol Geesey love and lead this church family. We are a congregation that loves sharing Jesus with any and all. We have modern worship and sound Bible teaching. Sunday School is 9:30 - 10:30 am. Sunday morning service is 10:45 - approximately 12:00 pm, and childrens' church is available to teach children about the love and forgiveness available to all. We believe in allowing the Holy Spirit to move in our services, so a specific end time is not set in stone.
Wednesday nights begin with a Fellowship Dinner at 6 pm that is open all who enjoy visiting and socializing with a group friendly people. At 7 pm we settle in for an inspiring Bible Study that incorporates scripture with history, archaeology, and social - economical issues of the time period. The presentations utilize pictures, graphs, charts, videos, and a little bit of humor to keep everyone awake.
Projects & Outreach
We are a small church with a BIG Heart. The Lord has called his followers to be the Light of the World and it is our endeavor to shine the light of God's Love in our community and beyond. To assist us in sharing the Gospel Message we have partnered with three ministry organizations.
- Convoy of Hope helps us address the issues of living in rural Missouri. One of our recent projects was providing a new pair of shoes for all the students at the VanFar Elementary School. Another was giving two bars of soap to each of the inmates at Vandalia Women's Prison.
- Beauty for Ashes Prison Ministry provides us an opportunity to serve as volunteers in the BFA Reentry Program that promotes inner healing and life transformation for the inmates.
- Celebrate Recovery, a Christ-centered, 12 step recovery program for anyone struggling with hurt, pain or addiction of any kind, meets each Friday Night at our church: 6 pm for Dinner; 7 pm Celebration Service; 8 pm Small Groups.
